There’s no way in hell that Jordan Dally, aka J. Irvín Dally, and his two cousins knew what they were getting themselves into when they agreed to film a Buzzsession with us last Friday evening. Fresh off of our shoot with Tokyo Police Club, Austin and I drove the cube truck to Dally’s brother’s apartment in Murray Hill. This trip didn’t come without a cost. After making an illegal left, a cop pulled us over and handed over a $150 ticket. Well worth it.
When everything was ready to go for our shoot, we headed down to Tompkins Square Park in the East Village, and let the cameras roll. Make sure to watch all three of the videos below. First from the park, second from the makeshift truck stage, and the final from the back of a moving truck. Thanks to all involved in this shoot.
Special thanks to Derek Eads for another amazing illustration. For more of his work, click here.
‘Buzzsessions’ is a live session series made by The Wild Honey Pie. With each new episode, we travel with a different band to a different part of New York City and record sometimes-intimate/sometimes-wild versions of two or three songs which are given away for free.
