As the weather continues to turn, it’s become harder and harder to film outside here in New York City. With London’s King Charles in town, however, the Gods seemed to smile upon us with a perfect fall day. Central Park is a sight to behold during this time of year, so it didn’t seem to make sense to simply film at a single location. Lightbulb — why not shoot on a horse-drawn carriage?
After meeting Austin across from the 5th Ave Apple Store and The Plaza, King Charles arrived with guitar in hand, ready for a nice little carriage ride. I must say, our trotter, Patrick, was quite the gallant horse as Charles played “Oh England” off of his newly released Alone on the Throne EP. After a 25 minute ride, we got off at Belvedere Castle, a fitting setting for this up and coming king. Watch “Oh England” and “Beating Heart” below.

‘Buzzsessions’ is a live session series made by The Wild Honey Pie. With each new episode, we travel with a different band to a different part of New York City and record sometimes-intimate/sometimes-wild versions of two or three songs which are given away for free.
